"The Lost Portal" Overview
UNLOCKING A SECRET LOST IN TIME ...
Darren Stewart, once the director of NASA’s massive time-travel research facility, is now in charge of converting that obsolete complex into a museum. He is approached by Skeeter Johnson, a former member of the U.S. Geophysical Team in Antarctica, who desperately needs a job to rebuild his life, destroyed by years of confinement in a protective custody program.
Darren’s own life is in limbo. He and his wife, Tracey, have separated. She is working with a presidential task force trying to solve a severe water shortage problem on the Western Slope of the United States in order to help prevent an armed conflict.
Darren enlists Skeeter in a search for an ancient time-ship, one lost to the ages in the lore of the pre-historic Anasazi culture in the Southwest. The pursuit offers the two men an opportunity to restore their lives and unlock the eternal riddle of our human origins.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The author and his wife, Connie, live in Indiana and enjoy traveling throughout the Southwest. Logan’s inspiration for THE LOST PORTAL came from visits to the primeval ruins at Chaco Canyon and the cliff dwellings at Canyon de Chelly. He saw firsthand the impact a dwindling supply of water had upon the people at those locations.
Logan builds upon his debut novel, THE FIRST MIGRATION, in his depiction of an arid land west of the Continental Divide that is in the throes of a life-threatening drought. Logan intertwines this present-day, potential reality with lessons left by the pre-historic Anasazi culture.
